Gameplay and Design
Play’n GO didn’t just slap a few pumpkins and cobwebs on a generic grid. This pokie is like walking into an abandoned cinema where only horror movies play, and the snacks have turned evil.
I absolutely loved twisted popcorn buckets, demonic M&Ms, and possessed soda cups. You can almost hear the squelch of gummy bears as they land in clusters. The soundtrack reminded me of Stranger Things crossed with a John Carpenter flick.
Now, the win-anywhere system on a 5×5 grid is a big highlight. Forget paylines, just land 6 or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid to trigger a win. These symbols then cascade, making room for new ones to fall in.
That cascading mechanics means one good spin can easily chain into two, three, or more. We’ve scored four back-to-back cascades and stacked a 40x win but haven’t hit the elusive 10,000x max win yet. It’s a bit like Jammin’ Jars or Reactoonz in terms of flow, but the theme here is way more fun for horror fans.
